Sizing Guidance
The information below is sourced from the official websites belonging to each animal welfare body. Although the advice differs slightly, they all agree that bigger is better.
- The Blue Cross Animal Welfare Charity recommends a minimum enclosure size of 150x60cm for 2 pigs, or larger if possible.
- The RSPCA's guidelines for minimum cage size has increased. They now recommend a minimum floor area of at least 170x60cm for 2 guinea pigs (10,000 cm2), although this can vary across local RSPCA branches.
- Some rescue centres may require larger enclosures for housing 2 male guinea pigs together.
If you’re considering adopting guinea pigs from a local rescue centre, check specific sizing guidelines with them first, as they may insist on a particular enclosure/run size for certain combinations of pigs.

Made from Materials
- Made from 20mm solid timber frame, and 18mm solid timber back and side panels.
- 13 x 13mm square galvanised zinc wire mesh on roof and front panels, with the mesh edges covered in a wood trim.
- Plywood bases supplied untreated.
Assembly
- Base Units and Front/Roof panels pre-assembled.
- Some simple self-assembly required to screw the walls and attach hinges and door closers.
- Comes with full Assembly Instructions.
