• The Blue Cross Animal Welfare Charity recommends a minimum enclosure size of 150x60cm for 2 pigs, or larger if possible.
• The RSPCA's guidelines for minimum cage size has increased. They now recommend a minimum floor area of at least 170x60cm for 2 guinea pigs (10,000 cm2), although this can vary across local RSPCA branches.
• Some rescue centres may require larger enclosures for housing 2 male guinea pigs together.

If you’re considering adopting guinea pigs from a local rescue centre, check specific sizing guidelines with them first, as they may insist on a particular enclosure/run size for certain combinations of pigs.
