African Pygmy Hedgehogs need a large enclosure of at least 120x60cm (4’x2′), a 12″ wheel and access to an external run area to keep them fit and happy. Our Extra Tall enclosure with perspex front is a good option for a roof or wall-mounted CHE, ensuring the device is kept at a safe distance from your pet.

The design allows for the Pet Home to be lifted on and off the stand, providing flexibility on whether you wish to use the Pet Home at floor level, or raised off the ground. The stand height is 45cm – a good height for a kneeling adult, and approximate eye level for young children, with a storage height underneath of approx 35cm.

Lift-off Fold-over Roof – in 4 sizes
From £109.00This fold-over roof is available in 4 sizes/styles, covering the full length and width of your Pet Home. It can be folded over in the middle, or lifted off completely for easy access and cleaning purposes.
The roof comprises two framed panels mounted with 13mm square galvanised wire mesh, hinged in the centre to cover the full length of the enclosure. The mesh is screwed on with wood batons on the underside helping to protect you and your pets from sharp mesh edges, whilst ensuring the roof is cat-proof.
You can purchase this roof at the same time as your chosen Pet Home in preference to the standard roof option, or purchase at a later date if required.

The pack of wheels consists of 2 braked wheels (for the front) and 2 unbraked (for the rear).

Pygmy hedgehogs must be kept warm via a heating device such as a ceramic heat emitter (CHE), a heat pad or similar. The best heating option will depend upon the ambient temperature conditions within your home.
