Sizing Guidance
Hutch available in 3 sizes, suitable for max number of guinea pigs as follows:
- 120 x 60cm – 1-2 pigs (separate enclosures), 3-4 pigs (two tier with ladder).
- 150 x 60cm – 2-3 pigs (separate enclosures), 4-5 pigs (two tier with ladder).
- 180 x 60cm – 3-4 pigs (separate enclosures), 5-6 pigs (two tier with ladder).
The main photo shows 2 x 120cm multi-level hutches sitting side by side, where each level is also interconnected horizontally via Side Access Doors.
The subsidiary photos show various hutch examples in all 3 sizes.
What's Included
- All fixings and Assembly Instructions / Care Instructions included.
- A 250ml tin of pet-safe clear matte water-based wood sealer is included to seal the base floor of your pet home, making it resistant to urine and stains.
- Accessories not included but can be added to your order separately.
- We sell a wood sealer paint brush if you need one.
- We also recommend our Bottle Fixings pack (see photo) for securely attaching a Water Bottle to the timber walls.
Made from Materials
- Made from 20mm solid timber frame, and 18mm solid timber back and side panels.
- 13 x 13mm square galvanised zinc wire mesh on roof and front panels, with the mesh edges covered in a wood trim.
- Plywood base supplied untreated.
Assembly
- Base Unit and Front panel are pre-assembled.
- Some simple self-assembly required to screw the walls and attach hinges.
- Comes with full Assembly Instructions.

- External dimensions: Total external height of each tier 40cm plus 2cm for roof
- Internal dimensions: Internal height of each tier 38cm

We are delighted with the extension tier we bought to add an extra level to our existing extra large guinea pig home. We bought a cover for the access hole which we are using in the short term. In the future the whole space can be opened up and they will be able to use the ramp to move between levels. The piggies are all happy in their new spaces and have plenty of room. I originally ordered the single tier option but was so impressed with the build quality and instructions that I decided shortly afterwards to order the second tier. As with the first order, the process of ordering and delivery was seamless with great communication from Kate. Building the second tier was easy; I love how simple the instructions are to follow and that there are pilot holes pre-drilled for convenience. My piggles are absolutely loving the extra space and for me, I love how good it looks!

We got this two-level guinea pig hutch for my daughter’s pets and it has made looking after them so much easier and more enjoyable. We started off with a single tier and then added a second to the top. The hutch is really spacious, so our guinea pigs have plenty of room to move around and explore, and the clear panel at the top means we can always see what they’re up to. Its incredibly sturdy, made with lovely natural wood – the look fits perfectly in my daughters bedroom, and the ramp inside is perfect for little piggy adventures up and down the levels. Cleaning out takes hardly any time with the drop down front panel and my daughter absolutely loves how easy it is to feed and play with her guinea pigs now. Overall, it’s a cosy, safe, and practical home that all our piggies and the family are very happy with!
